It was easier than I thought to get them to walk through all the mud to where I wanted them. That is why they are awesome!

You can’t put into words the week we spent with each couple and their family & friends. This past year we designed and created the most fine art products that we ever have. Couples had truly great ideas for their 2011 Getting to Know You Sessions. We completed our proofing for all our weddings this past year within less than a month and had every album designed within 45 days from each brides wedding date. The open air booth system was announced this past year and will be even better in 2012.

Now this coming year we are going to push things to another level. We booked this year faster than any other year I have been in business. 2013 is starting to fill up as well. There will be a new studio manager and photographer on staff. I am investigating incredible new products that will be offered this year. This year I want to get to know my couples even more than I have in the past. I plan on having more contact with my brides via phone calls, special events and special emails for all the future brides. The blog and website will enhanced this year. There will be guest bloggers, posts by professionals in the industry talking about season trends, and special posts aimed at helping brides to make their special day’s even better. The single most important thing that I plan on for 2012 is to shoot more personal work. It is the single most important thing that most photographers don’t do to improve on their craft and style. I wanted to share some of my favorite Getting to Know You sessions of 2011. We had an array if different locations and styles. There were two destination GTKY sessions in Jamaica and also in the Bahamas. One bride grew up riding horses, so we went to a farm in central jersey where she rides. Another bride loves the movie Casablanca. For her session we got clearance to shoot at an airport hanger, photographed in black and white high-speed film, and had Casablanca influenced vintage clothing. We even went to a scrap metal yard for one session and it was incredible. Thank you to all my couples that we did GTKY sessions for in 2011. I can not wait to push the creative limits in 2012.
