Jill & Ryan’s Mexico destination wedding was amazing! We did a total of four separate shoots in two and a half days there. The Getting to Know You Session from their weekend will also be posted on my site in the next few weeks. All shoots and events took place at Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico. It is an adult all inclusive resort and it has everything you would ever want right there. They even have hammocks in the pool next to the beach. I did not want to leave! We were very busy though, did not even have time to jump in the ocean, which was like a few hundred feet from the rooms. The bridal party and family were just excellent. It’s cool when you get to know people then get to fly travel with some of them back home. Overall it was a great experience and there was so much to shoot there we could have kept photographing for another entire week!
Excellence Playa Mujeres sits on a private peninsula north of Cancun, on one of the cleanest stretches of Caribbean coastline in Mexico. The resort is adults-only and all-inclusive, so every guest arrives relaxed and stays that way. What sets it apart visually is the landscaping: winding paths lined with flowering trees, still reflecting pools, and sculptures lit with warm uplighting after dark. The grounds are also home to wild iguanas who have no concern for your bridal party timeline, which makes for moments you simply cannot recreate anywhere else.

The resort had amazing scultptures all over the grounds and had amazing lighting at night.
